How long do I need for a Fansipan visit?

To fully experience the Fansipan journey, allocate approximately 3-4 hours, including:

  • A 15-minute cable car ride each way.
  • Exploration time at the summit, including visits to the Great Buddha statue, Bich Van Zen Monastery, and panoramic viewpoints.
  • Additional time if you go for the Muong Hoa funicular or the summit funicular.

Weekdays (Monday–Thursday)

  • Muong Hoa Funicular: 7:45am – 2:15pm (last ride to Fansipan), last ride back: 4:30pm
  • Cable Car: 8am – 2:30pm (last ride up), last ride down: 4pm
  • Fansipan Summit Funicular: 8:30am – 3pm (last ride up), last ride down: 3:30 pm
  • Ticketing:
    • Sa Pa Station: 7:30am – 2pm
    • Hoang Lien Station: 7:45am – 2:15pm

Fridays

  • Muong Hoa Funicular: 7:45am – 3:15pm, return trip by 5:30pm
